Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha. Evening safari briefing.
Day 2
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park. Full day game drive in this park famous for its elephant herds and baobab trees. Picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire River. Evening drive to Tarangire Treetops for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Morning game drive in Tarangire. Return to lodge for lunch. Afternoon visit to a local Maasai village for cultural encounter. Learn about traditional Maasai life, dancing, and customs.
Day 4
Breakfast then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Game drive through groundwater forests to see tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and hippos. Picnic lunch. Late afternoon transfer to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
Day 5
After breakfast, visit Mto wa Mbu village for cultural activities. Coffee plantation tour learning from bean to cup. Visit local schools and interact with children. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to lodge.
Day 6
Drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, the 'Cradle of Mankind', for a guided tour of the archaeological site. Continue to Serengeti with afternoon game drive en-route. Arrive at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 7
Full day game drives in Serengeti. Search for the Great Migration and predators. Picnic lunch in the bush. Visit a Maasai boma within the park to learn about the harmonious coexistence of Maasai and wildlife.
Day 8
Early morning game drive with bush breakfast. Continue exploring different areas of the Serengeti ecosystem. Late afternoon return to lodge for dinner.
Day 9
Morning game drive en-route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge on the crater rim. Afternoon at leisure enjoying the spectacular views.
Day 10
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Search for black rhino, lions, and other wildlife. Picnic lunch at the crater floor. Afternoon cooking class with a local family in Karatu, learning traditional Tanzanian dishes.
Day 11
Drive to Lake Eyasi for a unique cultural experience with the Hadzabe bushmen. Afternoon hunting walk with the Hadzabe, learning their ancient survival skills. Evening cultural exchange around the campfire.
Day 12
Early morning nature walk with the Hadzabe, gathering wild fruits and learning about medicinal plants. Breakfast then drive back to Arusha for lunch. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
